ABA Humane Education Project Training comes to MI!

On Sunday, March 22, 20 lawyers, law students, humane educators and animal advocates gathered at the MSU College of Law, to discuss the principals of humane education, and to learn a series of 4 lesson plans geared toward 4th and 5th graders.

Thanks to the MSU College of Law Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, for hosting us at the law school; and to the State Bar Animal Law Section who co-sponsored the event.

Meena Alagappan, Executive director of HEART, Humane Education Advocates Reaching Teachers; and Kim Korona, HEART’s Program Manager led the training.

Another attendee is planning to open a tutoring/daycare business, and wants to incorporate humane education into her program, A recently retired attorney is eager left with plans to contact teachers about getting into their schools.
